Joan's Dog Phoebe

Joanie and her family really love their dog. They found her at a pound, which is important to Joanie because she believes very animal needs a good and loving home. Phoebe is half basset-hound and half pointer. She has congenital glaucoma so she is blind. Looking at her, she has a marble for an eye on the left side and the right has been sewn shut. When Joanie asked me to paint her I really had mixed feelings. I didn't know if I could paint a dog without eyes because they are so expressive. Actually, I am pleased with the outcome.
